With nothing but time on my hands and miles under my feet, I’ve had a lot of space to reflect on who I was, who I am, and who I want to be. It’s in those long stretches of highway, staring at the windshield instead of the rearview mirror, that life lessons have shown up—when I’ve seen how far I’ve come, how much I’ve healed, and how much I’m still learning. It’s in these moments, in these reflections, that I’ve gained my clearest insight and the most inspiration to keep moving forward. My life is twisted and spiraled, like the Celtic symbol, the triskelion, but it has also taken really sharp, hard turns I never saw coming. And in spite of the potholes, roadblocks, seemingly dead ends, and speed bumps, I’ve had the chance to grow, pivot, shift, and keep moving in a direction that feels right. Some of these reflections have been quiet, stirring moments. Some have been eye-opening. Some lighthearted. Some wrought with emotion. All of them have continued to push me forward on this journey. It’s my hope that sharing these reflections—completely vulnerable, authentic, and transparent—might spark something for you: a pause to notice, a little nudge to see your own growth, or the courage to take your next RightTurn. I want to inspire, encourage, and never influence. I never imagined I would share my most vulnerable thoughts like this, and that is the ultimate unexpected RightTurn in this journey. It just continues to show me that the journey is still in motion—and still unfolding with each and every RightTurn.
